In the late 1970s, Buzz and Judy Dugan left the Jersey Shore in search of sun, sand, and something more laid-back. They found it on the quiet waters of Vanderbilt Beach, where they opened Buzz’s Lighthouse—serving fresh Gulf seafood, cold drinks, and warm hospitality in a relaxed, coastal setting.

 

What began as a simple idea quickly became a local favorite. Through decades of change—and even challenges like Hurricane Ian—Buzz’s has remained a cherished Naples staple, loved by locals and visitors alike.
